Cats love sitting in the wildflowers waiting for a mouse or vole to appear for their afternoon chase. This fine guy named Whiskey got over 75 voles in one summer and was proud of it. Each one was meticulously taken to the back door to be viewed and acknowledged by his human mom and dad.

I painted this colorful kitten from a photo posted as an art challenge a few months back. I enjoyed playing around with colors that are not normally found on a real kitty - blues, purples and a little bit of yellow orange.
