This original watercolor on 300 lb cold pressed paper measures 8 x 10 unframed. It depicts the beautiful Jenny Lake at Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming near Jackson Hole. On the day I visited it was calm and crisp. There were no tourist, just the smell of fresh pine and the buzzing of a few insects. I could have stayed for hours but had to move on. The only thing missing was a very large moose. Maybe next visit.
The purchase price is $99 with a white mat. Shipping extra. To purchase or view additional paintings go to www.janicetranejones.com or janicetranejones@aol.com.

"He Loves Me" by Terry Honstead
This 11 x 7 painting was done with one that I had started during a class that I was teaching on beginning mixed media. I played around adding the different shapes to it and when I got that so that I liked it, I decided it needed flowers as well. When I got the coneflowers painted onto it, I was happy with the result and did not want to ruin it by attempting to add anything else. I like the simpleness of it. If you wish to purchase a copy, you can find it on terry-honstead.artistwebsites.com, or you may email me at: honstead@paulbunyan.net.

"Joyce in the Garden" by Linda Snider Ward
This is a small watercolor on 7" x 5" Richeson Gessoed Hardboard. It's a work in progress. I had to put it aside because it was frustrating me a bit. The paint bubbles & seems to resist a little (kind of like Yupo paper). It's as if I'd gotten grease on the surface but I know I didn't because I unwrapped it and begin working immediately on it. I've worked on Aquabord before, which is specially made for water media & I really like the surface. Not sure about the Richeson, maybe because it's a surface that's meant for all kinds of paint. Anyone else use this type of art board?

Behind Her Back by Terry Honstead
This was a fun picture to paint. I got it from an old photograph that was black and white. To me, these women seem to be snickering about the girl in the backless dress. Apparently those were not the norm around there in those days! I wonder what all these ladies would think about today's dress? Well, actually they are probably still around and not liking it much at all! (Just a guess!) If you would like to see more of my work, check out: terry-honstead.artistwebsites.com, or email me at: honstead@paulbunyan.net.
