Swinging in the Branches, Original impressionist watercolor by Rhoda Sterling


For several moments I stood entranced watching this blue bird leaping and swinging through fragile branch tips in a nearby fir tree. He seemed oblivious to me as he sought and captured little insects for his lunch. We were probably only about six feet from each other. I stood very still so as not to disturb his search and scare him off.
