A Medicine Woman (Nez Perce Tribe) on her favorite Appaloosa. Her status is noted by her basket hat which she wears as a sign of her standing within her tribe. She has had the secrets of healing passed down to her from her mother & grandmother and has gone out today down by the river to collect the herbs and roots she uses in her healing. She can turn her hat over and use it as a gathering basket if needed.
The original painting is slated for the solo exhibit at the International Museum of Art of El Paso, Texas in July and August of 2013.
