"Two Grandmas" by Terry Honstead
Two Grandmas is a watercolor done on 300 lb hot press Arches paper, which is my favorite for portraits. It is 14 x 11 in. The picture that I used as a reference for this piece was taken at my grandson's 4th birthday party. This is his "Gray Grandma" and his "Black Grandma". The Gray Grandma is my mother. I really felt a lot of emotion when I took this picture and every time I look at it. Not sure why except that it represents our multiracial family. Any questions could be sent to: honstead@paulbunyan.net.
